I worked with Instinctif Partners to help turn eBay’s 12,000 global employees into brand advocates. We developed a multi-faceted engagement program to inspire eBay employees to become brand evangelists. We showed them the power of social media by providing employees with information on best practices, tools to share their stories about the brand, and campaign materials to help them buy, sell, and give to causes on eBay. We created content for their internal communications and developed a microsite for the campaign. eBay sent employees “Act Packs” we created that gave them easy-to-follow steps on how to incorporate eBay into events with friends and family. We asked them to share their passion, love, and pride for eBay across their social networks, using  #WeAreeBay and #WhatsYourPerfect.

Just a few days after the campaign launched, 1,500 employees generated close to 500K social media impressions. Employee engagement on eBay increased to 48% for some of its programs and thousands of employees posted comments about eBay to their social networks.
